So many updates.

Hey guys. I have not been blogging because my "new laptop" which i blogged about in a previous session decided to expire itself. Soooo, I am awaiting a new one to arrive sometime this week. Also my shoe order did arrive but it arrived with one less boot and that officially ticked me off about that site. When they did email me they said that one of the boots was damaged and they had no replacement so they reimbursed me the price but less shipping charges. So that sucked for me. If you read the blogs before you would have seen that I had free shipping. So I lost through and through.

So when i get my next laptop, I 'll be up and running and more blogging. Be safe

OFFICIALLY ANNOYED!!!!

Now, after calling this place about my order. No body has had the decency to get back to me. But I checked the site again and finally my order has shipped after 13 days. Now mind you they took their money out of my account 2 days after I placed the order. HMPHHH!!!. The ship date on my tracking # has changed and my package will be delivered mid this week. I have seen other cute stuff on the website but I will not be purchasing anything from them in the near future. Their customer service SUCKS!!!!

Now I would not have minded the delay at all, if their customer service skills was a bit more up to par. All they had to do was get back to me as they promised via email or phone and let me know that there was a delay and I would not be at all ticked off.

This is just nutttssss!!!!

Ok. So I ordered my boots on November 1st. They claimed that shipping was created had a tracking number from UPS and everything. But everytime I would check it it still said billing info received. Now after more than a week of seeing this I called the company. cutesygirl.com. The lady told me that she would get back to me within 24 hrs and she hasn't yet. So after 2 days. Which is today I called back. The lady I spoke to couldn't help me because the lady who I spoke to before was on lunch. Now I am sure they are closed by now and I still haven't gotten a call. I don't get it. I am beginning to become very annoyed with this site.

Boots from cutesygirl.com

I just bought 3 pairs of shoes (shown in the pictures) from cutesygirl.com. I can't wait to try them on. I bought a pair of ankle boots, a pair of flat mid calf boots and the flats. My total was less than $60 dollars including shipping and handling. Since I bought my boots, the site has gone on sale even more and has free shipping over $50 dollars. Can't beat that! Anyone who knows me knows that I have a thing for shoes and that I can never have enough. So the website says that it has shipped so I am awaiting delivery (UPS).

OK! another Tidbit to share...Confessions of a Shopaholic

I'm watching the movie Confessions of a Shopaholic and I must say I Like it. But I had to pause it and blog on a line that the father tells his daughter (the shopahaolic after offering to sell his RV to help her pay off her debt,  which she refuses, because she says it defines him) He says to her " Nothing defines me except you and your mother" It made me shed a tear. Funny how we can get caught up in life and all it has to offer and forget about the things that will stick with us long after we are gone. Kinda like our never ending legacy.

Sigma Brushes!

I am so aching to try Sigma Brushes. Almost every body on youtube has them. I have been trying to win them  through giveaways and contest and all. Last night I knew the answers to the questions on nikkii's and sarah victor's wall of style radio show, keeping it fierce but I couldn't seem to get on. I think if it was not for bad luck I wouldn't have any at all. bummer. I think they look so nice based on all the reviews I have been seeing. Don't get me wrong. I love the Isomers brush set that I have now ( posted in my blog) but they are over 2 yrs old and starting to let me down a bit. Sigma I would love to have next because the look so high quality. I would love the complete brush roll. (Dreaming Right?) But I cannot spend $90 on a brush (even though I know it will be totally worth it) with a ten month old.

I have thought about emailing them but I know with my luck I'll get the big fat NO. But Ya know what I think I'll do it. I guess thats the worst they can do is turn me down.

Palette Mishap taken care of.

So I contacted my ebay seller about the broken shadows in my palette and they were great about it. They asked that I send pictures ( which I did) and they offered me a solution that I took. They offered me a refund of $7. I thought that was great so I took it. Keep in mind that I paid $ 12.98 for the palette. Great right?

I've used the palette about 3 times since I received it and I must say that I am impressed. The colors are excellent. I'll put a pic of the look somewhere in here.

I did this look for a contest.

More on 120 Palette.

So I contacted the Ebay seller and they have not returned my email as yet. After calming myself I decided to try and salvage the two colors. I tried to get as much green back into the shadow pot as possible and I used the top of my Mac Under eye cream tube and pressed that sucker back into place. I pressed it mad hard so I am not sure whats gonna happen with that and how well the color is gonna come out when I use it. So we will see. I did the same for the other color and cleaned the Palette off.

Now if you know me I am very picky and OCD about stuff like that. It is bothering me that it came broken but I am trying to make my self  be ok with it.I have 2 88 palettes and the greens there are good so that is lessening the blow. LOL. I know that I am not sending it back to wait another month or two to receive another 1. If they give me a good discount on future palettes then I'll take it. I wish they had the blush palettes. That I would get immediately. If the seller was in the US I doubt that that would have happened.But the price would have bin nuts. I got my palette pretty cheap. $12.98 including shipping. It was wrapped in as little bubble wrap as possible so I guess it was inevitable. If anyone has gotten palettes and received them in great condition from Ebay hit me up and let me know your seller.Well any hoo's, I will be doing a tutorial this week but I am not sure what look I will be going for. I tried to get my eyebrows waxed yesterday but I was so tired and the wait was crazy so by this weekend definitely.

120 Palette Came!

So I was so excited when I saw the mailman with a package headed for my door. Yep my palette came. As I begun to open it I thought I hope everything would have been intact. Well as soon as I opened it green powder started coming out. A green is shattered completely and a blue mid way. Another has a solid crack down the middle and a yellow has a chip. Thats only the first palette. The green shadow which is highly pigmented by the way has made its way under the first row and unto some of the shadows below as well as several on the top. VERY DISAPPOINTED! Packaging was very poor. could have done way better. Will post more after I figure this out.

Ok so today I was looking at a show on the Toshi and the door bell rang. I instantly knew that it was the mailman. So when I heard the bell I thought YAYYYYYY my 120 palette is here( because it cant fit in the mailbox he has to ring the bell) So I threw the Toshi down and rang out my room only to find that it was in fact the mailman but with a mailing from Enfamil. I was soooooo bummed. I mean I was happy to get the mailing( who doesn't like free stuff) but shooottt. Can I get my 120 palette already? LOL. I guess better luck next week. I HOPE!

BLOG ACTION DAY 2009! Climate Change!

I think that this is such a genius idea. Have you noticed over the last few years the weather has not bin its usual self? For instance, I am in NY and right now they are predicting that this will be a very brutal winter and I believe them. I am freezing right now. The say that we are experiencing dips that we should normally feel in November. Which makes summer and fall even shorter. Summer this year was like a breeze. A few piping hot days but other than that nice and cool. I can't believe that summer has come and gone.

If our seasons are beginning to change like this, a bit here and there, the question of what is to come cannot stay unasked and unanswered. I do not know about everybody else but this is very scary. Will my kids grow up in a world where they have no choice of what climate they want to live in? Will the world become one big ocean as they claim? I don't know about you but I do not want to see my generation or the generation after mine and so forth and so so be washed away.

We have to start now and do the little things and the big things to help delay the process that we as inhabitants of this planet have started. Otherwise who knows what this world will look like or feel like in 100 yrs. I know certain practices help to make our lives a lot easier (using the aerosol sprays and other harmful practices that help damage the ozone layer) but what about tomorrow? I choose Life and a healthy planet over easy any day.

NEW LAPTOP!

I just got a new laptop. 2 actually. As a gift (Thanks Dad) The first 1 arrived and it refused to boot. It had power but was not booting up. BUMMER! I am actually thinking of trying to have it fixed. I don't know, we'll see. It had a feature I wanted. Finger Print Reader! How 007'ish. lol. But I got a new 1 and all this happened between thursday and yesterday which was tuesday. Now I decided to include this little snippet in my blog (pretty random) because I never wanted to own a Toshiba Laptop but now I do. Didn't think I would have liked it. But so far so good. Pretty fast considering that I am going to add another memory card to speed this baby up. I hate slow computers they annoy me.

So I will be blogging from it and keeping up with questions and videos.So we'll see how it keeps up. I love Multi Tasking so it will definitely have its work cut out for it. Pretty Random but I felt like venting.

Ok so i ordered it. The 120 Palette that is.

Ok so I couldn't resist. I ordered the 120 makeup palette from ebay. I ordered it on 10/03/09 and paid for it on the 10/05/09. They messaged me and said that it was shipped out on 10/06/09. So this is where the waiting game begins. It is coming from Hong Kong. I paid $12.98 in total for it. It was for $3.29 with a $ 1.00 coupon off from Ebay so it came to $ 2.29 the shipping was $ 10.69 bringing my total to what I stated above. So when it gets here hopefully all intack I will show my purchase with pictures.

Makeup Brushes of Choice.

For those who wanted to know this is the brush set that I use. It's from Isomers and it costs $100 for 10 brushes. Lip brush, Large Powder Brush, Foundation Brush, Blush Brush, Concealer/ Corrector Brush, Small Eye Shadow Brush, Large Eye Shadow Brush, Eye Contour/ Blending Brush, Angled Eyeliner Brush and Brow Brush. I love these brushes and they come in a really nice makeup roll. I have had them for about 2 years now and they are still going strong.

Hair Cut.....LOL

So the day I got my Proactiv I had went to my hair stylist that morning. I think she is absolutely the best. ( Thanks Christine). I had a Perm, Treatment and Cut. I usually have a color (Ruby Red from Jazzin) but I am trying to let it run its course so that I can start from fresh. I told her to give me a  few layers because I think I needed more dimension. It came out pretty good. I was so scared because I hate cutting my hair. Seeing it now I should have gotten more layers in the back. The layers are in the front maybe a small one in the back. I think in the back she probably cut off like at  least 4 inches. Love it though!


I also bought 2 packages of Flexi Rollers (10) to try rolling my hair with out heat. Sometimes a new look is key to keeping it fresh and interesting. I have tried rollers similar to the rods (but cloth) where you you have to roll and snap. When I wore my hair shorter they worked amazingly. If I rolled them tight I had a shirley temple look and If I rolled them loose I had soft curls. But like I said before they became to much of a bother because of the length of my hair, so I stopped using them and kept to curling irons.


I am trying to have a more healthy approach to styling my hair. So I am tring to limit the amount of heat I use on it. Right now I use Isoplus Oilsheen if it gets a bit dry because it does not weigh my hair down and it dries out after a while. So I never look to greasy. LOL. I also wrap my hair at night and keep it wrapped when I am staying home. This way it stays smooth and nice. I always use a wrapping lotion, again because of the length of my hair. I need that extra staying power. I use Optimum's Anti- Breakage Therapy Leave-In Ultimate Strengthener. I love this one because my hair is never stiff when I use it and it's a leave in conditioner.


If I have to wash and flat iron my hair myself. I try to stay to using the Pantene line of shampoo and conditioners love how they make my har feel. I get body and it smooths out well when I use my flat iron. If I can't get that my next choice is Tresemme and of course my flat iron of choice is my Kiyoseki styler. For a perm my first choice is the optimum line love how they make my hair feel. I have my hair trimmed every time I have a perm. I like the blunt edge look and it keeps my hair healthy. Nothing beats healthy hair, Short or long. Why have long hair and it looks like its been fried, dried and all that? LOL. So if short looks healthier then short it is. 


So, as soon as I get a pic of my hair I'll post it up. It has been a few days since my perm it still looks good but I wanted you guys to see it fresh. But for sure I'll have one after I use the Soft Twist Rods. Not sure when I'll use them but soon.

Ok so I received my proactiv today. It seems like I ordered more stuff than I thought. I was only expecting 7 pieces and I somehow ended up with 9.

IT'S HERE!!!!!! MY COASTAL SCENTS PACKAGE CAME!

YAYYYY!!!  

Ok! So my package arrived today. I was so excited when I saw the Fed ex truck pull up. When I saw him get the package all I could think of was "please be careful."  I mean a lot of people have been saying that they received palettes with a broken shadow or 2 maybe more and I didn't want to be one of them. After signing I took it inside and started documenting with pictures as you will see.
 When I opened the box my first reaction was WOW well packed. Then I had to go through what seemed like tons of bubble wrap and packing paper. Then I got to 1 palette and more bubble wrap between the second and third.

When I finally got done with getting them out of the boxes and opening them, I was so surprised. I immediately loved the palettes. The colors are bright , the shadow pots are not big but I think for the price and the color options they are a generous size. Maybe a tad bit smaller than a dime if at all. The colors are highly pigmented and I think well worth the buy. I received 3 palettes, 2 shimmer 88 and 1 matte 88. 1 of the shimmers is to give to my younger sister who will also write a review.(soon I hope)

I haven't had time to play with the colors much but I know I will pretty soon. I love the palettes and the sample eye shadow that they sent. So Look out for eye shadow tutorials and color swatches. 


By the way I have decided not to purchase the 120 palette from Ebay for now because I am so happy with the 2  I have.
                                                                                                                                                                                                                

Pro-Activ

Ok! So I have used Pro-Activ before. Not Faithfully. So I have decided to get a full system and use is religiously and see what happens. I do not have serious breakouts but i get a few here and there and I have alot of old scars. I had a baby not to long ago so I broke out alot then and some of the scars are still visible. So I decided to order the the cleanser, toner, repairing lotion, mask, spf 15 moisturizer, clarifying night cream and skin lightening lotion. So I will use these 2x a day for at least 2 months and see what happens.

Like I said, I used it in the past and it worked but I did not use it all the time so I am going to put myself on a skin care regimen. After all, I am getting older and wiser so I need to be more aggressive with skin care so that when I'm 50 I would not look it.

Considering getting the 120 Palette as well.

Well I saw the 120 palette before I decided on ordering the 88 palette. But I got the 88 Palette anyway. Now I think I want the 120 as well. I saw that they had a lot of great deals on Ebay for it so I am strongly considering it. I have decided to wait and see what my 88 palette from Coastal Scents looks like then I'll decided. It's just that the 120 has a lot more colors. Will I really use all these colors in my lifetime? Maybe not but I like the idea.

So I received the email yesterday saying that my order had shipped and it will be here on Monday so when it gets here I'll have my review. Cant wait.

Kiyoseki Hair styler

Ok. So I have owned the Kiyoseki Hair styler for about a year now. I love it Love it Love it. I have tried so many flat irons and this one I have to say is by far the BEST! I love it's slim plate design, the extra long swivel cord, the adjustable digital temperature control. I simply adore it. I am Bi- Racial, white mother and black father so my hair is thick and long. The styler lets me flat iron my entire hair and curl my ends in about an hour and a half to two hrs. It could be much shorter but I love my hair smooth and straight so I go over it more than twice. I have a relaxer but I have not had a perm in about 9 months so i spend the extra time on my roots. The styler gets my hair very smooth and straight.

When I bought my kiyoseki, I bought it for about $150. (Paid in installments.) Loved that! I got the upgraded one. I also opted for shampoo and conditioner trial which I hated. They made my hair very course and very hard. It might be different for another hair type but it definitely did not do mine justice. How ever, I also got the trial bottles of conditioning mist and shine as well as the big bottles. Now those I love. So I'll have to order the shine and mist pretty soon.

Well today I ordered My first set of Coastal Scents 88 Palette Makeup. I ordered both Matte and Shimmer and I also ordered a Shimmer palette for my sister. The order Total came up to be $50.61. I had a coupon code for 14% off and I also received free shipping for an order over $50. So so far so good.

I can't wait for my order to arrive. I adore makeup. I just love it. As soon as it gets here I 'll post first impressions and product review. From Packaging, arrival time, and of course the products.

I will also use this blog to review other products especially skin care and makeup. I will also have My sister review her makeup palette from coastal scents. So that this blog can be as helpful and diversified as I can get it. Sort of a one stop blog. I'll try to answer questions so feel free to ask anything about what I am blogging about and produts that you may want to find out about.
